Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 Cups flour (plus a little extra)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Cups old fashioned rolled oatmeal

1 Cup butter
1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Cups chocolate chips

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.

In a small bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, and soda.

In large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar with a mixer on medium until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.

Gradually add flour mixture until combined. Add oats little by little. Finally add chocolate chips and mix for 15 seconds.

Spoon onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper and bake 8-10 minutes. Eat them!

These are so tasty hot out of the oven, and once they have cooled off (if they last that long).  These are the best oatmeal cookies I have had! I love how they hold their shape and don't go super flat like some recipes I have tried. I got this recipe from an instagram story my cousin did. He calls them Brooklyn's finest oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!
