Jordan River Mud



  • 1 chocolate cake mix (oil, eggs, water according to box instructions)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Make cake mix according to box directions. Pour in a Dutch Oven. Mix brown sugar, cocoa, and water, and pour over the cake. Bake 20-30 min. or until done. 8 to 10 briquets on bottom and 25 to 30 on top. When done, top with chocolate chips. Let stand a few minutes before serving. When served, top with whipped cream.


This was my favorite dutch oven dessert that my Dad would make when I was growing up
