Cheese Fondue

  • 1 C. honey crisp pressed apple cider
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/2 pound white cheddar cheese grated (I used Tillamook)
  • 1/2 pound Jarlsburg cheese, grated
  • 2 T cornstartch
Heat cider over medium high heat, and then add the honey. Toss the cheeses together with the cornstarch. Turn the heat to low and add the cheese mixture a little at a time, stirring until melted after each addition. Serve immediately. Makes 3 cups.

Things to dip in this delicious fondu:
  • Sourdough bread
  • ham
  • steak
  • salami
  • pears
  • apples
  • Gherkin pickles
  • potatoes
  • broccoli
  • cauliflour
  • pasta (it's just like an amazing mac and cheese!)
  • I think the question is, what CAN'T you dip in this delicious cheese fondu?
I made this for an at home Valentine's date this year. My sister Melissa sent me the recipe, and it was a huge hit! It feels like a super fancy meal, but was really easy to prep ahead of time and throw together when we were ready for it.
