2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups water
2 T. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 T. mustard
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups water
2 T. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 T. mustard
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1. Prepare your coals
2. Add elbow macaroni, water, butter, and salt to a 4 qt Dutch Oven. Cover and place on top of a small bed of coals. Place 10-15 coals on the top and cook for about 10 minutes until the pasta is tender and most, but not all of the liquid has been absorbed.
3. Remove the Dutch oven from the coals and set aside the lid.
4. Stir in the cheese, mustard, and garlic powder. You can also sprinkle a little more salt if desired.
5. Enjoy!
We made this while we were camping, and it tasted extra amazing!
