Turkey Rice Bowls

1 lb. ground turkey
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 C. flour
14.5 oz beef broth
8 oz tomato sauce
15 oz black beans drained and rinsed
1 cup frozen corn

In a large nonstick skillet, over medium high heat, cook the ground turkey with the salt and pepper until cooked through, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Drain

Add cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, and flour. Stir the mixture constantly for 1 minute while it cooks.

Add beef broth a little at a time, whisking until it thickens up. Add in tomato sauce and stir.

Bring to a boil, then add black beans and corn. Simmer 15-20 minutes until thickened.

Serve over rice and top with favorite taco toppings(lettuce, salsa, tomato, avocado, olives, sour cream, lime wedges).

I found this recipe on the internet one night when I was looking for a recipe to use up some ground turkey, and it was a winner! The whole family enjoyed it.
