1 1/2 C sugar
1/4 C + 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
Sift together into large sauce pan. Add 2 egg yolks, and 2 C whole milk.
Stir until thickened over medium high heat(be careful not to burn it!). Remove from heat, add 2 tsp. vanilla. Pour into baked, cooled pie shell. Chill, serve with homemade whipped cream on top and chocolate curls from a Hershey bar.
I have to say, this is my all time favorite dessert, hands down. Never have I tasted anything like this. When I eat this, my mind is flooded with so many memories of baking pies with my Mom over so many years of Thanksgivings! Yes, this pie is definitely the best.
This is the best blog ever. I just have one complaint- it makes me too hungry!
